Q: What if I fail to be at home during parcel delivery?

A: — The courier will leave a Pickup Call notification at the location of delivery. It will also make another free of charge delivery attempt the next working day. The attempt will follow the regular schedule which is between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.


Q: Why is it not possible to re-attempt the delivery of my shipment?

A: — The courier will not be able to provide attempt another delivery if:

  • You require it on the same day of the shipment notification
  • Item value is equivalent to or greater than CZK 200,000
  • Your shipping item is damaged


Q: Can I pick up my shipment from the Courier’s facility?

A: — Yes. If not available at the location of delivery, your item will be stored at the courier’s facility for a specific time. It is from here that you should collect the shipment at no extra storage cost.


Q: What if an addressee refuses or rejects a shipment?

A: — The courier at its own cost will return the shipment to the consignor or dispose of it.


Q: Can I ship precious stones abroad with Ceska Posta?

A: — Yes. The courier offers International Insured Parcel Service ideal for shipping items such as valuables.


Q: Will I receive compensation if I lose my valuable shipment?

A: — Yes. You are liable for an amount of compensation equivalent to the declared item value. You should, however, ensure that the shipping service is in line with the Foreign Terms and Conditions.


Q: Can I track an international shipment with the standard service?

A: — No. You cannot track or trace your shipment with this service.


Q: How long will it take to ship a parcel to a European country?

A: — Two factors determine the shipping time: the destination and type of service. For instance, it will take a maximum of 6 days to ship an item by Air to a European country. On the other hand, it will take between 1 and 2 weeks to deliver the same to a non-European country.


Q: Are there requirements for collecting my parcel?

A: — Yes. For identification purposes, you should have at least one of the following documents:

  • A passport
  • An ID card
  • A permanent residency card


Q: Can I change the delivery address of an international shipment?

A: — No. The change of a delivery address is only available in the Czech Republic.


Q: How will I know that my parcel is delivered?

A: — You will receive both SMS and email notifications on your mobile device.

A: — Enter the consignment number of your shipment on the e-Track and Trace tool.
